The Greek Festival is an annual celebration of Greek culture held in  downtown Columbia, South Carolina. This year the festival was held  Sept. 20-23. Columbia College students had the chance to experience all of this and more!

“I was expecting to be exposed to different cultural traditions, foods and learning about the Orthodox faith,” Columbia College sophomore Mikaya Thomas said. She was surprised that the festival met her expectations and more. Besides being fun, the festival is educational and breaks down cultural barriers.

Everyone had their favorite part, whether if it was the music, the dancing or just walking around. “Out of everything, I would have to say the gyros were my favorite thing at the Greek Festival,” Columbia College first-year Taj McDonald said.
