Today funeral parlor and lay ceremony
Hundreds of people waited in line in Piazza del Campidoglio for the opening of the funeral home to pay tribute to Piero Angela, the journalist and science writer who died on Saturday at the age of 93 years. The mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri welcomed the coffin. In the front row the journalist’s wife, Margherita Pastore, their children Alberto and Christine. Burial chamber open until 19, then the funeral with a secular ceremony. City mourning today in his native Turin.
