The magic of the mountain that plunges into the infinite Adriatic: the next appointment of “Linea Verde Estate”, broadcast tomorrow at 12 . 20 on Rai 1, it will be a trip with Angela Rafanelli and Peppone Calabrese along one of the most evocative stretches of the Adriatic coast, Monte Conero, in the Marche region. We will go off Sirolo, aboard a fishing boat for moscioli, the “wild” mussels that live attached to the submerged rocks along Monte Conero, a unique culinary specialty of the area that is only found in the period from April to October, then on horseback, with an environmental guide along the only stretch of rocky coast from Trieste to the Gargano, a multi-faceted natural park. We will stop at an ancient fishing village with a center collected in the upper part, between alleys and colorful houses, fine gravel beaches that alternate with coves of rare beauty, clear and transparent waters: history, curiosities and characters of Numana, the pearl of the Conero Riviera. There the tradition of an ancient craft is preserved: the making of straw hats, real artistic creations for fashion shows. It proliferates among the stones and rocks, disappears in winter and reappears in spring, goes well with mortadella, tuna and can be used for jams and sauces: in Castelfidardo, at the rediscovery of paccasassi, the wild fennel of the Conero sea. An olive grove of 300 native variety plants, a greenhouse of 450 square meters for the soilless cultivation of red fruits, agricultural work as an opportunity for redemption , but also of rebirth: in the countryside on the northern outskirts of Ancona, the “Fattoria Barcaglione” project, a successfully launched agricultural initiative that employs prisoners. A very peculiar calcareous soil, a unique microclimate, a powerful insolation mitigated by the incessant sea breezes, a perfect ripening of the grapes: in Camerano, the production of Rosso Conero, a wine “from the sea and to love”.

A few kilometers north of Rome, along the valley of the ‘Aniene lives a community that can allow the visitor a different journey. It resides in Subiaco, within the monastic walls of the Benedictines of Sacro Speco and Santa Scolastica. The first-run documentary “The Benedictine monasteries of Subiaco” by Francesco Zippel tells it, broadcast tomorrow at 22. 00 on Rai 5. There are those who linger in the pages of old books, drawing oxygen from the dust of libraries and those who breathe oxygen in the open air, in the gardens or in the rose gardens of which he takes care of every day. It is from the sixth century after Christ that Benedictine monks have followed the teaching of “ora et labora”, pray and work and continue to spread Benedict’s teaching, even outside the monastic walls. Here there are centenary monks as young postulants of just over twenty years: an immersion in the spirituality of these places and in the life experiences, always different from each other, of the monks who live there.

Edith Stein, Simone Weil and Sophie Scholl: three women who have shaped their lives on their ideals to the point of extreme sacrifice, drawing their fundamental inspiration from the relationship with God, which leads them to radically dissociate themselves from anti-Semitism and Nazi oppression. Three portraits proposed by Paolo Mieli in “The stories of the past and the present”, broadcast tomorrow at 20. 30 on Rai Storia. Edith Stein’s journey of faith, a pilgrim of truth, hope and love, will lead her to her martyrdom in Auschwitz. Simone Weil, a fighter for freedom and justice, will fight tirelessly against totalitarianism. Finally, that of the young student Sophie Magdalena Scholl is a “Resistance of words” which she will oppose with the White Rose group against the Hitlerian regime through the dissemination of leaflets to awaken the conscience of the German people blinded by Nazism. A resistance that will cost her her life.

For fifty years he has thrilled his audience with his ballads beyond time, out of the news but within the history of man. Angelo Branduardi is the minstrel par excellence, stubbornly out of the box, and out of fashion. Branduardi is the protagonist of the new episode of ‘Ritratti d’autori’ broadcast on Rainews 24 today at 22. 30 and tomorrow at 14. 30 and at 22. 30. A distillation of a chat that began a long time ago with Fausto Pellegrini and that does not stop there. A twenty-year long interview in which the many encounters are re-tied and put together to form a single, intense story. In which the news becomes history. And vice versa.

“If I can do this I can do everything”, guided by this motto and the spirit of adventure, many have entrusted themselves to the “Sportabili” association, which in Val di Fiemme offers the possibility of playing sports for people with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities. “Or Even No: disability does not go on vacation”, conducted by Paola Severini Melograni together with the Paralympic champion of water skiing Daniele Cassioli, in tomorrow’s episode broadcast at 9. 00 on Rai 3 (in rerun on Monday 22 August at 01. 00) will give voice to Roberto Marconati, volunteer of the association, who will tell about the activities that are proposed: from classic excursions to rafting, from swimming to tennis without neglecting the handbike. With the contribution of Walter Taufer, communication manager of the “Pale S.Martino – Paneveggio” natural park, a territory will be described in which “Sportabili” also undertakes to organize walks along accessible paths, routes between one thousand and two thousand meters they can also do it with electric wheelchairs supplied to the association. With Radioimmaginaria, the network conducted and directed by the children under 17, we will go to Milan to meet Francesca Marini of the “Atelier poesis” association, wanted by some parents of the Corbetta district to promote the sociability of their most fragile children. Finally we will return to the beach, in Fregene, on the Lazio coast, to learn about the “Inclusive Sea” project wanted by Agsa (Association of parents with autistic subjects), thanks to which children with autism spectrum disorders approach surfing. The instructors, with a targeted approach, help young people to tame the waves and enjoy the sense of freedom that the sea can give. To illustrate the “inclusive sea” project will be Lucilla Mazzetti, from whom the idea started, and the president Agsa Lazio Maria Teresa Rendina. As in every episode there will be the Thieves of Carrozzelle with their music and the satire of Stefano Disegni, who with his glossary draws up with humor a ranking on the words that discriminate.
