A concert of music and words to tell the epic of the ‘greatest goalkeeper in the history of Italian football, if not the greatest goalkeeper of all time’, as he declared, one day , the coach Trapattoni. On September 3, as part of the XXII Pergolesi Spontini Festival, the play ‘Silence on top of the world (Zoff’s flights in the sky of Spain’ 82) on the occasion of the 40 years from the Soccer World Cup of 1982, following the perspective of who, at inside a team, has chosen to practice an individual sport, that of the goalkeeper.

Gestures, chords and emotions, with the original music by Cristian Carrara and Marco Attura (staging by Giancarlo Nicoletti and texts by Giuseppe Manfridi). In the center, the actress Pamela Villoresi, to mark the times of a feat defined by the referee Abraham Klein as ‘the most beautiful match of the century’, the one between Italy and Brazil, the scene of one of the most legendary parades in the history of football. Champion, respected athlete, Dino Zoff has transformed the most mysterious role of football into a philosophy of life, a serious face printed in the memory of many fans.

Above all, the epic victory of the World Cup in Spain bears his signature in 1982. A unique adventure that Giuseppe Manfridi was able to tell with the wrist of the true storyteller, first in the book ‘Tra i legni’ (Tea, 2022) and then in the show, a new production of the Pergolesi Spontini Foundation in co-production with the Associazione Mittelfest of Cividale del Friuli. They play Isabella Lozzi on the flute, Diego Di Palo on the double bass, Marco Salvetti on the accordion.
