Forbidden dreams of one of us ”- sees Garinei in the role of the employee who spurs Fracchia-Villaggio and his colleagues to rebel against the managers of the company where they work. An early evening signed Rai Documentari, the one tomorrow at 21. 25 on Rai 2, with “Dreams of the great north”. Directed by Dario Acocella, also author together with Paolo Cognetti and Francesco Favale, the documentary tells the literary and exciting journey of Paolo Cognetti, winner of the Strega Prize 2017 with “The Eight Mountains”, at the search for a new existential frontier for man and for his coexistence with the environment, in the footsteps of some of the great masters of American literature. Produced by Samarcanda Film with Feltrinelli Real Cinema and Rai Cinema, with the support of the Valle d’Aosta Region and MIBACT and distributed by Nexi Distribution, the docu-film retraces a travel experience that encompasses many other journeys and as many important ones meanings, representing at the same time a unique immersion in the nature and soul of the writer. The first, the one that Paolo undertakes together with his friend Nicola Magrin – traveler and illustrator – who will lead them to discover the Great North, from Milan to Vancouver to Alaska, aboard a camper. The second is what Paolo does backwards to discover his roots as a writer and as a man, retracing the iconic places of his great masters who, in his life, have played a much wider role than the merely literary one: from Port Angeles where Raymond Carver is buried at Jack London’s Klondike, from Ernest Hemingway’s trout lakes to the wilderness of Thoreau up to Denali National Park where the Magic Bus of Into The Wild is located, which served as home to Christopher McCandless. All authors who have made travel a real art. The third journey, on the other hand, is the most introspective one because his is a restless soul, in which moments of contagious enthusiasm alternate with dark moments, dictated by the uncertainty of a choice and by the emptiness of the world around him. The narrative voice of Paolo Cognetti leads viewers on this path of self-research, through the images shot during the journey, the fragments of dialogue between the two friends and the voice-over reading of the quotations by Ernest Hemingway, Raymond Carver, HD Thoreau , Jack London and Chris McCandless.

On Rai3 ‘Passato e Presente’ – on RaiPlay ‘L’estate ora – Jova Beach Play’With his exploits and failures, Umberto Nobile has written some of the most compelling and controversial pages in the history of Italian aeronautics and exploration. Pages retraced by Professor Isabella Insolvibile and by Paolo Mieli in “Past and Present”, broadcast tomorrow at 13. 15 on Rai 3 and at 20. 30 on Rai Storia. In 1926 the first flight over the North Pole with the Norge airship, which he designed, made him a celebrity that the fascist regime exploited to its own advantage. The second enterprise at the Polo, on the other hand, ends tragically. The strong winds push the airship Italia to crash into the pack and then drag it away, with 6 crew members still on board, who will never be found again. Many of the rescue attempts to save the survivors left on the ice, inside the famous “red tent”, have also been fatal. Nobile is saved, but, having lost Mussolini’s favor, he becomes the subject of investigations by a commission of inquiry which, in 1929, declares him guilty of the incident. Nobile leaves the Air Force and moves first to the Soviet Union and then to the United States, where he teaches engineering. Returning to Italy after the war, he becomes a deputy in the ranks of the PCI and continues to fight to obtain the overturning of the charges against him, especially the most hateful: that of having abandoned his men on the ice, saving himself first. tomorrow the eighth episode of “Summer Now-Jova Beach Play”. The docufilm stars Francesco Centorame as the narrator, one of the young protagonists of the Skam Italia series, who landed in 2020 at the cinema in Gabriele Muccino’s “The most beautiful years”. The appointment is with the concerts in Vasto, which offered a very romantic “unscheduled”: the cyclist Giulio Ciccone, already winner of three stages of the Giro d’Italia, took the stage on Friday evening 19 August to ask for the hand of the fiancée Annabruna Di Iorio, to the applause of the audience and the encouragement of Jovanotti himself. Among the guests on stage to duet with Jovanotti Gianni Morandi, Ketra, Ghali and Achille Lauro. “L’estate ora-Jova Beach Play”, tells the best moments of the stage lived between backstage, stage and audience of the singer’s mega summer tour on Italian beaches, through unprecedented points of view of the guests who accompany him in every appointment. A new episode is available every Friday, lasting about fifteen minutes for a total of eleven episodes in total. To complete the series, a special in which Jovanotti himself will retrace the entire journey of the Jova Beach Party. The publication of the series is therefore contextual to the tour: a “hot” story, immediate and strongly anchored to what is happening with many surprises and as many exciting moments to live with the Rai platform. To celebrate the centenary of Vittorio Gassman’s birth, on 1 September, Rai Cultura proposes eight episodes of “Il Mattatore”, the historic program that saw him as an incomparable protagonist, broadcast from tomorrow to Friday 2 September at 13. 00 on Rai Storia. Broadcast on the National Program in 1959, “Il Mattatore” was characterized by the variety of genres and registers used, mixed for the first time on television. For this reason, the program was defined as a “mixed show” and Vittorio Gassman, in the role of “The showman”, was able to express a great ironic and parodic talent. Also in 1959 the homonymous film directed by Dino Risi was released.

On Rai5 ‘Sting between music and freedom’ – on Rainews and Tgr ‘Lega Pro, time for calendars’ The artistic and personal evolution of Gordon Andrew Summer, aka Sting, from the exciting reggae-rock season with the Police to a solo career. The story is told by “Sting between music and freedom”, directed by Julie Veille, broadcast tomorrow at 23. 15 on Rai 5. Multi-instrumentalist, composer and sublime poet, Sting earned a star on the “Hollywood Walk of Fame” and was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” as bassist and lead singer of The Police.

The appointment is for 18. 00 tomorrow when the sixty Lega Pro teams will know their season in detail, with the draw of the calendars. A “ritual” that is repeated at the beginning of each tournament, and it is not worth the refrain “So we have to play with everyone, sooner or later”, because never like this year the level of the third professional series is so high as not to allow false departures or distractions. Rai, which holds the free-to-air broadcasting rights of Monday Night, preceded and followed, in the post-match, by the analysis of the complete round of the championship and the highlights of the matches, will broadcast live, and exclusively, the draw of the calendars in streaming on the rainews.it website and, at the same time, also on all the regional sites of the web portal of the Regional Newspaper: a widespread coverage for a championship that promises to be really hard fought and with many protagonists, in every Italian region The movements of art are constantly changing blocks: they give life to cultural revolutions, spread influences and touch the most disparate artists. Pop Art was a watershed of the twentieth century that influenced artists who were then destined for very different paths. Like David Hockney, whose work initially bore some resemblance to Francis Bacon’s, but who was soon ascribed to the Pop Art scene when he began his Swimming Pool series, painting portraits and sets and working with photography, landscapes, experimentation. Today David Hockney is the king of the art market. His Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures) was auctioned off in 2018 becoming the highest paid work ever by a living artist. The documentary “David Hockney. Eternity rediscovered “by Michael Trabitzsch produced with Arte France, broadcast tomorrow at 19. 20 on Rai 5, retraces the considerable work and long life of the artist. “I draw the world, I draw myself,” said Hockney and from the very beginning he has been involved in an ongoing dialogue with his era. In doing so, he used every format and artistic medium available to him: painting, drawing, installation, scenography, photography, collage and mobile phone. Hockney, who grew up in England, escaped the constraints of small towns to live in California, worked in Paris, London and New York, before returning to England. The documentary focuses on those places in his life that strongly influenced his work, using a considerable amount of archival footage to highlight the various phases of his work in relation to the places where he lived and worked.
