The docufilm on Totò was presented in Venice on Friday 2 September.

It will be presented next Friday, September 2, in Venice – in conjunction with the 79 ° International Film Festival – the documentary film “Umanamente Totò then il comico” on Prince Antonio de Curtis, aka Totò. The tribute to the great Neapolitan artist is also dedicated to the memory of his daughter, Liliana de Curtis, who died in Rome on June 3 last. It is a production of the Amici di Totò Association… regardless! – Onlus.

Curated by Laura Villani, friend of Liliana de Curtis actress and writer, the meeting will take place (at 17, 30) Al Colombo, Italian Historical Place – in Calle del Teatro or della Commedia 4619 Venice – considered an international hub of the city’s artistic and cultural initiatives. The screening of the film will take place in the presence of Alberto de Marco, president of the Amici di Totò association … regardless! Onlus, of which Liliana was honorary president, and will be followed by a cocktail in the Campiello del Colombo, adjacent to the Goldoni Theater.

The documentary film is directed by Alberto De Marco and Franco Esposito, in collaboration with Francesco La Rosa, Director Special Guest. Contains archival film clips, original interventions and interviews with personalities such as Liliana de Curtis, Renzo Arbore, Massimo Ranieri, Albano Carrisi, Yari Gagliucci, Giancarlo Governi, television author, Lucio Dalla, Renato Dentoni Litta director of the Salerno State Archives, Arnaldo Ninchi , Lello Bersani, Francesco de Simone, captain of Totò’s yacht, Eugenio de Simone Totò’s lawyer, Renato Rascel and Mario Castellani. He was awarded the “Solunto International Award 2021 “for the role of Francesco La Rosa, Director Special Guest, while Alberto De Marco, writer , journalist and screenwriter, received the Aiae Award from the Associazione Educatori Italoamericani for his commitment to the film and his intense cultural activity.

The production of the docufilm is by the Amici di Totò Association… regardless! – Onlus, while the film is taken from the book “Antonio de Curtis, Totò, the Great Artist of Extraordinary Humanity” by Alberto De Marco and Duilio Paoluzzi, Salvemini Movement Edition.
