The 16 August in national preview the theatrical monologue

alternate text
Walter Chiari and Masha Sirago

The 16 August 2022 at 21. 30 at the Municipal Park of Filettino (FR) the theatrical monologue ‘I’ll tell you Walter Chiari!’, interpreted by Masha Sirago who will tell anecdotes, solitary conversations, moments of life lived together with the great star of the Dolce Vita: Walter Chiari (1924 – 1991), his great friend in the last years of his life. The text is written by Masha Sirago and Rocco Cesareo who will also take care of the direction.

The Sirago, on stage, will remember the great comic actor, man with an unparalleled vocal tone, but above all with a seductive charm (he conquered the one who was defined as ‘The most beautiful animal in the world’, that is the actress Ava Gardner, in addition to the most beautiful women of the time, straddling the years 50 and 70). Among a flood of memories, ironic and poetic anecdotes, Sirago will evoke lived situations, sometimes even paradoxical ones, of when she was a young twenty-year-old artist whom Walter Chiari wanted beside him professionally, but also humanly.

He wrote her: ” It’s any ticket. But it can contain, in addition to a sentence – even a story – a fable, a story that is also true and profound, or great, you can also be there if you want. Walter ”. The event, with free admission, enriches the Summer Review 2022 BACI of the Municipality of Filettino (FR). Sirago has ranged in various artistic fields, actress and performer, writer, sculptress and television personality over the years 90 (‘Grand Prize’ with Pippo Baudo and ‘Do you know the last?’ On Canale 5), until she became the creator and curator of the Tiffany cultural project ‘Animal academicum’ (with Annullo philatelic of 13 December 2016). He writes about Culture on various online newspapers.

Cesareo, after having been assistant director of directors such as Giorgio Strelher, Aldo Trionfo , Carlo Cecchi and others, made his debut in theatrical direction in 1990 with “Finale di Gioco” by Samuel Beckett, which will be followed by over twenty directives and a series of feature films including ‘The people of birds’ with Lando Buzzanca and ‘Gli angeli di Borsellino’, with Sirago, Brigitta Boccoli and Toni Garrani.
